The Greatest Lap ("we", "us") organises Edition One, the first ever relay run around the world. Contact: makehistory@thegreatestlap.com.
Reserving a leg is a free, non-binding expression of interest. It is not a race entry, a registration, or a contract to participate. No payment is taken and no obligation is created on either side. Every reservation is reviewed personally and we may approve, decline, or withdraw a reservation at our discretion. An approved reservation holds your place until registration opens; once it opens, your spot stays reserved for 30 days, after which it may be released if you have not completed registration.
The route, stages, dates, distances, start times and all other event details are provisional and may change as planning progresses. We will keep you informed of material changes affecting your leg.
Actual participation in Edition One will be subject to full event terms and conditions, health and safety requirements, and a participation agreement provided at registration. Nothing at the reservation stage grants a right to participate.
To manage your reservation we collect your name, email address, profile photo, run club (if given), and your chosen leg. We use this to review and manage reservations, contact you about your leg and the event, and operate the site. We do not sell your data. Our website and database providers process this data on our behalf. You can ask us to correct or delete your data at any time by emailing makehistory@thegreatestlap.com; withdrawing your reservation releases your leg, and deleting your account removes your profile.
Your name and photo are only shown publicly on your leg if you opt in. The choice is optional, off by default, and you can change it at any time in your profile. Run club names may be shown on legs reserved for that club.
At the reservation stage no services are provided and, to the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability in connection with a reservation, its approval or refusal, or changes to the event. Liability for participation itself will be addressed in the full event terms at registration.
