Background in sports: a former professional football player and recently competing in long-distance triathlons across Europe.

6+ years experience in commercial real estate and retail focused on strategy and planning across Europe. Additional experience in Cybersecurity, consulting and head of ESG for a Cybersecurity VAD.

At The Greatest Lap as CEO Wilhelm is responsible for business planning and development, strategy, building the team and the execution of the event, mission and vision.

Alvaro Buenaventura

Alvaro Buenaventura is a Madrid-born professional, currently based between Madrid and UAE, who has spent his career working in the early growth and international expansion of sports and entertainment projects across Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, and Europe.

Since 2005, he has been part of the development of innovative global sports properties such as Formula E, E1 Series, and the Hexagon Cup, teaming up with founders and rights-holders to help transform early-stage ideas into established international events. His work has included supporting host-city acquisition, negotiating broadcast agreements, developing sponsorship partnerships, and contributing to integrated marketing and PR efforts.

With more than 12 years’ experience across sport, music and entertainment, Georgia has built her career working with high-profile talent, global brands and major live events. Her background spans strategic communications, talent management, PR, crisis communications, brand partnerships and international campaign delivery.

Georgia has worked with some of the biggest names across entertainment and sport. In recent years, she has increasingly specialised in sport, leading communications and PR strategies for world-class athletes and major sporting events.

At The Greatest Lap, Georgia is responsible for shaping the global communications strategy and narrative, overseeing media relations and supporting the project’s talent, brand and territory partnerships as it builds towards a truly international moment in sport.

David has completed 27 marathons, including the 7-day ultra-marathon in the Sahara, Marathon des Sables.
